1,140 W. Visayas cops promoted

A TOTAL of 1,140 police officers in Western Visayas were promoted to higher ranks for the first cycle of the 2018 promotion program.
The newly promoted PNP personnel received their new ranks in a ceremony held at the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 headquarters in Camp Martin Delgado, Iloilo City on August 20, 2018.
For this quarter, the most number of “promotees” are police officers (PO) 2 who advanced to PO3 with 563.
PRO-6 also has 14 new Police Chief Inspectors; 8 Senior Inspectors; 21 Inspectors; 25 Senior Police Officers (SPO) 4; 52 Senior Police Officers (SPO) 3; 298 Senior Police Officers (SPO) 2; 78 Senior Police Officers (SPO) 1; and 81 Police Officers (PO) 2.
As they assume their new ranks, the newly-promoted police officers are expected to comply with the responsibilities and improve their performances in law enforcement.
“Aside from the increase sang sweldo, nga i-assume nila with their new ranks, they will be more motivated para mag-ubra. We expect man nga they will perform their jobs better,” said Supt. Joem Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson.
Malong also stressed that the newly promoted police officers are “very much qualified” as they underwent individual performance evaluation rating, interview and strict neuropsychiatric examination, along with the mandatory requirements such as Education, Time in Grade, Mandatory Schooling and Eligibility for their promotion.
