Bakhaw man’s body found in river

ILOILO City – The body of the man who allegedly jumped off a bridge in Lapuz district Sunday was found Tuesday.

Edgardo Ferrer, 55, was a resident of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao.

His body was retrieved from the Iloilo River in Barangay Rizal, La Paz at around 6 a.m., a police report showed.

His sister Melanie Fabiano identified the body as Ferrer’s.

According to the sister, Ferrer was suffering from nervous breakdown.

Ferrer was walking on Quirino Bridge and suddenly jumped off it at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, police said, citing witnesses.
