ROXAS City – The mandatory drug testing for police personnel in Capiz has ended.

At least 97 percent of police personnel in 16 towns and in this capital city have underwent drug testing, according to the Capiz Police Provincial Crime Laboratory.

Provincial Crime Laboratory head Chief Inspector Joe Martin Fuentes said the results of the drug tests are expected to be released next week.

The series of drug tests began Sept. 9. Personnel from the police stations of Panay, Pilar and Ivisan were the first ones to undergo the drug tests.

They were followed by police personnel from Mambusao, President Roxas, Maayon, Cuartero, and Sigma.

Police personnel from Jamindan, Dao and Tapaz underwent drug tests on Sept. 28.

Personnel from the remaining police stations underwent drug tests on Monday at Camp Teodorico Apil in Barangay Lanot.
