Gerochi gets Mabilog’s support

Councilor R Leone “Boots” Gerochi got the support of Maria Victoria “Marivic” Mabilog, the wife of former mayor Jed Patrick, on his vice mayoral bid in Iloilo City.

The former first lady said Gerochi has “the intellectual acuity, moral strength, integrity, honesty, determination, fortitude, independence, love for his city, professionalism, and dedication to his vocation.”

These are the qualities, according to Mabilog, that “none of Gerochi’s opponents have, or at best, very little.”

“I dream that one day, in the future, the likes of him will take up bigger leadership roles in the city,” she said.

Gerochi is the running mate of incumbent Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

The councilor is competing with Councilor Plaridel Nava, incumbent Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, and Constancio Caro in next year’s elections.
