Mayor denies harassing teen actress

MAMBUSAO, Capiz – Mayor Leodegario “Jun” Labao Jr. of this town denied allegations that he sexually harassed teen actress Ella Cruz during her visit to this town on Nov 10, 2018.

Labao said he met Cruz at the Roxas City airport on Saturday through the organizers of the Mr. and Miss Inilusan 2018. The actress was waiting for her flight to Metro Manila when she met the mayor.

Labao said all he did was kiss Cruz on the cheek.

Cruz was guest of the Talent Night of the Mr. and Ms. Inilusan 2018 along with another teen star, Gab Lagman.

Labao clarified that there was no malice when he kissed and put his arms on Cruz’s shoulder which he usually does.

He added that he asked permission from the actress before kissing and wrapping his arm around her.

“Wala  ko ya kabalo nga artista siya kag sang gin-pakilala siya sa akon, ma kiss sya tani ugaling hambal ko ako na lang mahalok. Gin halukan ko sya sa guya kag wala man to malisya,” Labao stressed.

Cruz later posted her experience on Instagram with the caption “WorseExperienceEver.”
