MANILA – Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products this week, with the sixth consecutive week of price hikes scheduled today, Tuesday.

In an advisory, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said it will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.50, diesel by P0.15, and kerosene by P0.20.

The changes will take effect 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018.

Other firms have yet to announce any adjustments for the week, as of writing, but the trend seems to be the same for all oil companies.

Just last week, firms implemented a P0.65 hike in gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), prices per liter of gasoline in the country currently range from P51.65 to P64.45, diesel from p42.26 to P53.20, and kerosene from P48.32 to P58.50. (GMA News)
