REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST (Forecast Areas: Visayas, Palawan, Occidental Mindoro)

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, Typhoon Tomas was estimated based on all available data at 1,400 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.2 N, 134.9 E) with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/hr near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/hr. It is moving North at 15 km/hr. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.

FORECAST: Visayas, Palawan & Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to East will prevail over Palawan and Occidental Mindoro with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds blowing from the North to Northeast will prevail over Visayas with slight to moderate seas.
