The town got the highest ranking with an average competitiveness score of 40.8511, the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2018 results showed.

CMCI measures LGU’s competitiveness based on the four pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resiliency.

Mayor Dennis Superficial said he felt elated that his town emerged as the top LGU in the province.

Cabatuan ranked second, followed by Passi City, Lambunao, Balasan, Estancia, Oton, Tigbauan, Leon, and Miagao.

CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) through the Regional Competitiveness Committees with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.
