We are experiencing a very rough sailing as a country and as people these days. Perhaps, this is normal as the President has promised change and any deviation from the old norms usually causes so much disruption and uneasiness.
But looking at the realities around, it appears that the nation is about to embrace a new set of realities or enforced norms.
Inflation rate is at its highest in the Southeast Asian region, the peso is losing its grip, and the current government is pushing an economic partnership with China, which analysts have been warning as disastrous.
While the bloody policy against illegal drugs has relatively achieved success, the entry of illegal drugs and operation of drug laboratories by the Chinese have remained.
Political persecution using the arms of the law has become the trend. Talks about destabilization imagined by the President has become a daily menu for breakfast. The President would make disastrous statements like admitting that his only sin is the series of extra-judicial killings and an hour later Malacañang went crazy withdrawing the statement. It said the President was only joking.
A communications officer of Malacañang being paid by the peoples money is busy showing her stupid mind and inserting it as part of the national debate.
High ranking government officials and their families have earned millions worth of government contracts.
The country is apparently experiencing change and it has gave way to a new normal.
